GAIL Artificial Intelligence Strategy

Our Mission

Mason Global AI Innovation & Literacy (GAIL) was created to connect industry and academic innovators to  government entities in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) advancements as a vehicle that can assist in the acceleration of related technologies to both commercial and warfighter usage. Our proven process combined with our AI/ML research developers provides an incubator to AI and ML solutions while in parallel operate as a conduit to connecting these innovations to emerging contracting opportunities.

For government entities in search of AI/ML solutions, the GAIL provides a one-stop service to access AI expertise on these technologies, and assist in examination of the underlying capabilities to ensure they can meet and exceed GOV/DoD expectations when transposed into real-world scenerios

GAIL Mission

  • Research and Development
  • Independent Testing, Evaluation, Verification, and Validation
  • Commercialization
  • Education and Training
  • Transition to Mission

How it Works

The GAIL connects the dots in the process of establishment of global partnerships among government, academia and
the public and private sectors in the areas of AI/ML advancement for mission needs.

Our approach goes beyond just understanding of the organizations (academia and private) and their AI/ML solutions, to deep analysis of the technologies “value proposition” and how it can be transferred to mission-ready products through a partnership between the innovators and GMU whereupon our internal AI expertise can assist on acceleration of solutions needed by Gov/DoD customers.

Supporting CDAO Goals

  • Provide a Data/AI SME database to identify and select Data/AI Immersion Teams that will also be able to identify AI/ML research activities within industry partners, academic organizations, and government agencies;
  • Promote academic AI Literacy to support workforce development;
  • Promote academic AI Acquisition Literacy workforce development;
  • Coordinate, facilitate, validate, and transition AI/ML research and requirements for the DoD/CCMDs and other Federal/State Governments.
